General:
-Halloween costumes are great for tomorrow. Students can dress up as long as their costume does not distract themselves, or others, from learning.
-Peanut free treats are welcome for the activities in the afternoon. Students can choose to play a board game or watch  a (not so scary) Halloween movie. 

Humanities:
Students are to complete a self assessment on their recently completed presentations. Students can find and hand this in on Edmodo. They had the option to pick this up at the end of the day if they wanted a hard copy, but it is also posted at the bottom of this page. With this assessment, they must include one positive piece of feedback and one piece of constructive feedback to take with them for their next project. 

Math/Science:
-Forest Issue Doc is due tomorrow. 

General:
-Halloween dance, Wednesday at Lunch. Cost $1.
-Halloween Party, Wednesday afternoon. If you would like to contribute, p[lease bring peanut free snacks to contribute to the Grade 6 collection. 
-Compete and hand in your SMART goal.
 6.4 due Tuesday and  6.3 due Wednesday

-Please be prepared to present if you have not yet presented.

-There are still 15 out of 50 Forest Issue assignments missing. If you are struggling with this assignment or are unclear about it, please see me tomorrow.

We are aiming to leave CSS at 9am. Please make sure students have the items listed below.

Humanities
Be prepared to present on Monday. Also, consider the personality of your tree and a problem it may face. Use the Science outcomes list to decide how your tree will solve its problem.

There is no school on Friday, October 26th.

6.3/6.4 field trip all day Thursday, October 25th. Student need to be prepared for the possibility of cold or rainy weather. 

Bake Sale! - "We Scare Hunger" Bake sales this week will be held on October 23 and October 25 In the IAC. 
Students may bring in however many non-perishable food items to trade in for treat (one treat for one item), but they will only get a maximum of five treats each. 

Mr. Neil is accepting donations of Halloween candy which will be used as prizes for a UNICEF fundraiser. The fundraiser starts October 29th. If you or your child wish to contribute, please bring your contributions to Mr. Neil this week.

-Students had the opportunity to peer edit their presentations today. They are required to submit 2 peer feedback sheets tomorrow. If they did not get two volunteers at school today, they may be asking people at home. 
-Cathy Beveridge was in this afternoon to help shape their Weaselhead tree stories. They are currently looking at realistic problems this tree may face, while also creating a personality for this tree.

Math/Science: 
-Math Quiz Wednesday on: Ratio, Perimeter, Area, Factors, Multiples and general Number Sense. 
-Explorer projects should be handed in on Edmodo ASAP.
-Please complete Forest Issues assignment and Turn In on Edmodo.
-6.4: there are 4 people who have not handed in the form for Thursday's trip. Get them ASAP!

-MLA Linda Johnson came to CSS today. Grade 6's had a chance to pose questions to her. 
-People who have created change presentations start Monday, Oct. 22nd.
