General:
-December 7th is a PD day. There is no school for students
-Still looking for Winter Camp Volunteers. Please email John or Jody if you are interested in attending

Humanities: Students spent a significant amount of time peer editing and will be assessed no their contributions and feedback. Students should use the feedback to perfect their stories over the weekend. These will be collected and entered into their illustrated books on Monday and Tuesday of next week. 


Math/Science
Students can work on the Math problem of the week or work on their explorer projects. Students should be starting their experiments at this point.

-Discussion Topic: "should Canada have a law that makes it mandatory to vote? Why or why not?"

Math/Science:

-Tomorrow students will have time to work on their explorer projects. Please bring any materials of research needed for this project. -We are Starting the Sky Science Unit. Humanities: Today we discussed the outcomes of the recent City Centre by-election. We began to discuss what changes are important to us in our own city.  Tonight students should ask themselves, "What would I want to change in Calgary if I was running for Mayor."
Math/Science:

Ms. Alden was in today to connect students with resources on the Learn Alberta online reference centre.

-6.4 Students, you will need a copy of the Rubric from Mr. C or you can print it off Edmodo also. 

Humanities:

We will showcase these at the conferences.  If you are unable to attend, please let me know.  Their rough drafts for their stories are due on Thursday for first edits. 6.3 School Photos went home 2 weeks ago. Mr. C has noticed some photos still in some agenda binders. Any students who got picture re-takes will receive their order forms Monday. 

Humanities:
-Please work on your tree story. 

Math/Science: 
-Don't forget to Turn-In your Forest Issue Paragraph. There are 18 out of 50 missing. 

 

General:
Retake order forms are due by November 20th
If you are available to come in and volunteer Monday, November 19th and/or Tuesday, November 20th,  we will be working on our book cover stampings on this day. 

Humanities:
-You have a figurative language quiz Friday. Please take time to review your notes
-Students must have handed in their Figurative language examples and Term One Reflections by tomorrow at 9:00 am. I am still missing a few. 

Math/Science:
-Finish Tree averages
-Ask students about their explorer projects.
